But as the weeks pass and the complex American reveals who she really is, Thane struggles with his growing attraction to her.<br /><br />Regan never expected to feel so intensely for Thane, but she can’t deny her passion for him or her love for his children. When someone from Thane’s past threatens his family, Regan wants to be his pillar of support. I was worried the second books couldn't match it. Also in Here With Me, Regan's character is set up, it didn't seem that I was going to like her- but her actions are explained in her story and I loved her. She was such fun but had a heart of gold. She tries to hide when she's hurt and put on a brace face but she feels deeply.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;">Now - I love me a forbidden romance, and especially a bit of an age gap romance and I got both with this one! Regan is going to marry Thane's brother and she's a good few years younger than him - but he needs a nanny for his two kids and accepts the help, but the attraction between is instant! Like smoking. No one writes attraction like Samantha Young - I was rooting for these characters from the get go.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;">I could understand Thane's reluctance due to being burnt before and thinking of his kids, but sometimes I wanted to shake him.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;">And the kids - they were such fun to read, and little scene stealers! </span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;">Overall my worries for this book were completely unfounded. I was hooked from the get go and couldn't put it down. I resented every single interruption to my devouring this book.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;">I would recommend picking up the first book in the series first and events from the first book are mentioned throughout and it will help understand a lot of the dynamics with the characters.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;">This has become a favourite series of mine and I cannot wait to see more characters get their stories!</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;">Can't recommend enough! 5/5 stars.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-YEhDe0bV_RI/YSQOjJPf-yI/AAAAAAAAD_E/PkBDUEcUvdQ4VAh4Rr28vXNjsRQWWINgACLcBGAsYHQ/image.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="319" data-original-width="288" height="240" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-YEhDe0bV_RI/YSQOjJPf-yI/AAAAAAAAD_E/PkBDUEcUvdQ4VAh4Rr28vXNjsRQWWINgACLcBGAsYHQ/image.png" width="217" /></a></div><br /></span></span><p align="center" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 12.0pt; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: #fff2cc; color: black; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Samantha is the New York Times, USA Today and Wall

Lamed his monster </span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">again</span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">.</span></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Jaw clenched and hands fisted, Diel used his waning strength to lift his torso off the slick ground and sat up. His pulse thudded faster and faster at the fact that he was in the fucking cage. But his pulse had no sooner started to race than the metal collar around his neck crackled against his already scarred and scalded skin. The electricity sizzled its warning, a sharp-fanged serpent, ready to strike the minute he lost control of his senses.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel breathed deeply and forced his body to still, the darkness within him to rest. Every inch of him became a statue, and the hiss of the collar lessened to a low-grade hum.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">He fucking hated the collar. It was the bane of his existence. But it was a necessity.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel closed his eyes and thought back to how he’d got to the cage in the first place—a dream. Another fucking dream that had ripped him from sleep and had seen him racing through the manor looking for someone to tear apart, to sate the bloodlust of the monster living inside him.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">No. Not just </span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">someone.</span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> His monster yearned for some very specific someones.</span></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The Brethren. The motherfucking Brethren that he and his brothers had recently destroyed after they’d captured Maria, Raphael’s woman. The Fallen had headed to Holy Innocents, the school that had robbed them of their childhoods and fucked with their bodies and minds. They had descended, for the final time, to Purgatory, the place where they had been held as kids.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">And they had burned it to hell.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The flames may have destroyed Diel’s childhood tormentors, but the rage following the inferno remained. The monster that lived inside him, seeking blood and pain and death, only grew stronger, thirstier, more intolerant of the collar that wrapped around his neck like a leash, denying both of them what they craved—death. Such beautiful, sadistic deaths by their hands.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel heard the sound of a pencil scratching on paper and turned his head to see Sela sitting on a chair at the side of the Tomb. He was sketching on a pad of paper, eyes fixed on whatever he was creating.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">“Upper hallway, left wing,” Sela said, without taking his eyes off the pad. His long dark hair curtained his face as he concentrated on whatever picture he was purging from his creative brain onto the page. “Gabriel had us bring you down here until you awoke.”</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The tendons in Diel’s neck corded. The darkness inside was more than pissed at being handled in such a pathetic way. He ground his jaw so hard that the sound of teeth on teeth made Sela lift his eyes and meet his stare.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Sela’s pencil stilled. “Third time this week.”</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel inhaled deeply through his nose and exhaled slowly. He mentally wrestled the monster back until its presence was a dull ache at the back of his head, throbbing like the very worst of migraines. Diel sat back on his ass and laid his arms over his bent knees. His head twitched as he fought the everlasting battle to keep his anger in check.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">“The Brethren,” Diel said, voice raspy with exhaustion. Sela twirled the pencil in his fingers as he listened to his best friend, the stick of wood and charcoal practically an extension of his artistic hand. </span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel’s eyes lost focus as he bathed in the memory of his collar being turned off in Purgatory. Anger had filled his veins, and Diel and the monster he kept at arm’s length had become one, united in violence and death, twin dark souls synced and, for once in their lives, calm and at peace as they plunged their twenty-inch blades into the men that had destroyed their childhoods.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Destroyed every single </span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">part</span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> of them.</span></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">“D?” Sela said, pulling Diel from his stupor.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">His temples throbbed, his ever-present migraine pounding like iron bars being slammed into his brain over and over again. His migraines had always been bad, the monster never sleeping long enough to grant a reprieve. It was constantly pacing at the back of his mind, desperate to finally be freed of the collar’s stringent control.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel rubbed the back of his neck. “I keep replaying that night in Purgatory.” Memories of killing the Brethren flashed like a highlight reel in his mind. “When the collar was off and we finally got to end them …” His cock stirred as he recalled the feel of his blades slicing into flesh, of hitting bone when they plunged too deep. But his excitement misted away to vapor when he remembered the familiar buzz of the collar being reignited and his monster being lashed and gagged once again. “And then Gabe switched it back on.” It had been like a junkie getting his fix, the most hedonistic drug cocktail of his life, only to be abruptly forced to go cold turkey afterward.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel’s head twitched again as his pulse began to race at just the memory of smelling the Brethren’s blood on his skin—the sweetest perfume. His hands flexed as he felt the phantom necks that had snapped under his fingers.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd; font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The collar buzzed and sent warning volts soaring through his body. His muscles tensed as he absorbed the pain, as it hissed at the monster inside to retreat. To get the fuck back. Sweat beaded on his forehead; a single drop ran down his spine.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Gasping for air, Diel submitted to the monster’s sudden surge of power to snarl, “I want this fucking collar </span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">off</span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">. I want to be who I was fucking born to be without the restraints.” Diel tensed and threw the monster back from taking control. The monster retreated, but its anger-tipped words echoed around Diel’s head like they were being blasted through speakers. Diel’s stomach turned and a fissure of panic slithered across his fractured soul at that thought. The thought off actually being free from the collar … of what that would look like, feel like …</span></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 2.4; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-indent: 7.2pt;"><span style="background-color: #fce5cd;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Diel knew his monster could never be freed. Starting with Mac Galbraith, the Scottish father who abandoned her to pursue his career in private security. To re-connect with Mac, Robyn will finally meet a man she’s long resented. Lachlan Adair. Hostility instantly brews between Robyn and Lachlan. She thinks the head of the Adair family is high-handed and self-important. And finding closure with Mac is proving more difficult than she ever imagined. Robyn would sooner leave Ardnoch, but when she discovers Mac is embroiled in a threat against the Adairs and the exclusive members of the estate, she finds she’s not yet ready to give up on her father.</span><br style="background-color: white;" /><br style="background-color: white;" /><span style="background-color: white;">Determined to ensure Mac’s safety, Robyn investigates the disturbing crimes at Ardnoch, forcing her and Lachlan to spend time together. So I was very much looking forward to this release.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">And I was not disappointed.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">This was a bit of a different book to Samantha Young's other books - a mystery, thriller with the steamy romance I've come to love from Samantha Young's books.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">I loved Robyn - she was such a strong female character. Seriously kick butt! But that she still has her vulnerabilities. She's American and travels to Scotland to try and fix her relationship with her father. It's there that she stumbles across a terrifying mystery which only escalates with her arrival. Oh and a broody ex-hollywood actor who can't seem to stand the sight of her!</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">Lachlan is very protective of his family and friends and doesn't trust Robyn. But she's his friends daughter and despite his protests, she insists on helping investigate the strange goings on.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">The chemistry between Robyn and Lachlan was instant! I love me a good enemies to lovers romance and boy was this a good one! You just knew they were going to give into it, but the tension was killing me. The build up was so well done!</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">If you'are a Samantha Young fan you'll love this book but also if you've never read a Samantha Young book before, I think this would be a great place to start!</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">I can't wait to see where the rest of this series goes. We've been introduced to a lot of amazing characters and I'm looking forward to seeing whose story is next.</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;">5/5 stars!</span></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></span></div>wrathsqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12943619461131703822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2710347491049183307.post-7278043299530619472021-05-10T22:44:00.000+01:002021-05-10T22:44:46.204+01:00What To Read If You Loved BRIDGERTON<p> </p><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sWZJmmYxp6E" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>wrathsqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12943619461131703822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2710347491049183307.post-17706788812872197412020-12-06T20:18:00.000+00:002020-12-06T20:18:07.134+00:00Bound by Forever by Samantha Young<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-EpeZFMv1gas/X806oV39w-I/AAAAAAAAD5E/O4OFrA3hBUgKxyxg7QQELVQvDqKU9h4GACLcBGAsYHQ/image.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="475" data-original-width="317" height="390" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-EpeZFMv1gas/X806oV39w-I/AAAAAAAAD5E/O4OFrA3hBUgKxyxg7QQELVQvDqKU9h4GACLcBGAsYHQ/w260-h390/image.png" width="260" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;"><i><span style="font-family: verdana;">Niamh Farren has been burdened by knowledge for most of her life. I have the best job—resident sex-advice diva for Visage magazine—I have the best friends, and I live in the best city in the world. Things are pretty damn fabulous. That is, until Henry “Harry” Sinclair III comes crashing back into my world like a bad case of herpes.</span></div>

Oh, how they must have chortled at the “cheeky” reference to their most famous royals. I’d hoped if I kept them closed, this would somehow turn out to be a bad dream. What had we mere mortals done in the world to deserve three of these Henry Sinclair jerks on the planet? His father was an asswipe of the highest order, and I’d heard the grandfather, who’d created the empire, had been the worst kind of human being. His grandson had apparently followed suit. Henry didn’t smile at me. His nostrils flared and his lip curled up. I wasn’t sure if he was silently passing gas or exposing the fact that he disliked me as much as I disliked him. </span></div>

Henry pulled his hands from his pockets, nodded curtly, and instantly became the leader I was sure he had been molded to be since birth. “Good morning, I’m Henry Sinclair, but please call me Harry. Only my teachers ever called me Henry.” He smirked a little at that. I blinked slowly in confusion. I had never seen him smile. The in-house magazines of such prestigious newspapers had always been considered the ugly stepsisters in the world of newspaper publishing, but I loved it here. Always had…until, I feared, now. </span></div>

<span style="background-color: #f9cb9c;"><br /></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: #f9cb9c; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I, Faith Parisi, love my life. I have the best job—resident sex-advice diva for Visage magazine—I have the best friends, and I live in the best city in the world. Things are pretty damn fabulous. That is, until Henry “Harry” Sinclair III comes crashing back into my world like a bad case of herpes.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: #f9cb9c; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I hate the way Harry’s lip curls in contempt whenever he sees me. I hate his bright blue eyes and those inexplicably offensive dimples. I hate his stuffy English accent and the stick that’s permanently jammed up his aristocratic ass. More than anything, I hate that he’s now my boss.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">

<span style="background-color: #f9cb9c; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">But my professional prospects start to look up when a chance at writing Visage’s big summer feature falls into my lap. Success won’t be easy. I’ll need to let go of all my inhibitions—not that I have that many of those—and jump, stiletto heels first, into a hedonistic new world. An exclusive, secretive world, filled with leather, latex, and Manhattan’s elite.</span></div>

I can’t afford to get distracted by anything, least of all my new boss, his arrogant mouth, or the way the ice between us seems to be slowly melting away…</span></div>

<span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">It was heartbreaking to see Lil' Ash struggling so much after the events of the previous book. As he turns the pages, entranced by tales of lovelorn prisoners, key collectors, and nameless acolytes, he reads something strange: a story from his own childhood. Bewildered by this inexplicable book and desperate to make sense of how his own life came to be recorded, Zachary uncovers a series of clues -- a bee, a key, and a sword -- that lead him to a masquerade party in New York, to a secret club, and through a doorway to an ancient library, hidden far below the surface of the earth.<br /><br />What Zachary finds in this curious place is more than just a buried home for books and their guardians -- it is a place of lost cities and seas, lovers who pass notes under doors and across time, and of stories whispered by the dead. Zachary learns of those who have sacrificed much to protect this realm, relinquishing their sight and their tongues to preserve this archive, and also those who are intent on its destruction.<br /><br />Together with Mirabel, a fierce, pink-haired protector of the place, and Dorian, a handsome, barefoot man with shifting alliances, Zachary travels the twisting tunnels, darkened stairwells, crowded ballrooms, and sweetly-soaked shores of this magical world, discovering his purpose--in both the mysterious book and in his own life.</span></i></span></div>
