Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Booking Through Thursday and a different question is posted every week.
For most of the east coast, at least, it’s a wintry, snowy day today, so … How do you like to spend your snow days? Feel free to gloss over the obligatory parts like shoveling unless you LIKE it. We’re talking ideal, best way to spend a snow day kind of thoughts, here.
For those of you who live in places where snow days simply don’t happen? Feel free to substitute “snow” with “rain” and think about the kind of days when you just want to cuddle up inside where it’s warm and dry.
Here in the South of the UK we are yet to have a Snow Day, but we are in the middle of some terrible rainy, stormy weather.
When it's snowy I like to take the dog out because she loves to play in the snow. And after that I normally come home, have a hot shower and curl up with a blanket and a good book.
The dog doesn't like the rain though, but I still like to curl up with a good book when it's miserable outside.

W...W...W...Wednesday 12/02/14
To play along, just answer the following 3 questions
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
My current read is Wrecked by Presilla West.
I recently finished reading Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines.
I think the book I'll be reading next is Deeper by Robin York, as I will be participating in the blogtour next month.
Waiting On Wednesday 12/02/14 "Take a Chance"
Waiting on Wednesday is all about sharing the books that I'm eagerly waiting to be released.

This week the book I'm waiting on is Take A Chance by Abbi Glines.
I'm a big fan of her Too Far Trilogy, and this is a spin off about some of the characters featured in it- Grant and Harlow.
I'm noth excited and nervous about this one, because I'm worried that Grant will do something incredibly stupid with Nan (I HATE her). Because I hate it when books have that almost0cheating-but-not-cheating thing.
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the story of Grant, the sexy playboy who first captured readers' hearts in Fallen Too Far.
When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.
Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister, even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her?

Teaser Tuesday 11/02/14 "Wrecked"
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
Share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page - BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.
This week my current read is Wrecked by Priscella West on my Kindle. The two sentences come from 51%
I giggled, taking short panicked breaths, but I couldn't get away from his fingers torturing me.
Finally when I couldn't take it anymore I squealed, "Stop Hunter! Stop! You win!"

[Blogtour] Rome (Marked Men #3) by Jay Crownover
Received for review via NetGalley Format: Kindle Edition
File Size: 874 KB
Print Length: 368 pages
Publisher: Harper (2 Jan 2014)
Marked Men #3
Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash and sass hide the fact that she’s never gotten over the way her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make sure that never happens again: She’s only going to fall in love with someone perfect.
Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn and rigid, he’s bossy and has come back from his final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome’s used to filling a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now none of these fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes the only color on his bleak horizon.
Perfect isn’t in the cards for these two, but imperfect might just last forever . . .
This is the third installment in the Marked Men series. I read the first book, Rule, a couple of months ago and absolutely loved it. I haven't read book 2 yet, but each book is about a different couple and so stand alone.
Rome is Rule's older brother. Always the responsible, protective soldier- but since coming home he's not only struggling with the brutal memories, but also trying to figure out where he fits now his injury means his army career is over, and now one of his brothers is dead and the other settles down, does his protective role still fit?
Cora was hurt badly by her last boyfriend- she thought they were forever, in it for the long haul, but she found out he was cheating on her...and everyone around her knew. Now she's not settling for anything but perfection.
They make an unlikely pair, but they soon discover that their mismatch might actually be perfect for them.
I really felt for Rome, not knowing what to do with his life now. And I loved how Cora totally changes him.
I'm a sucker for romance. I love it, so the soppy, cheesy, sexy- I love it all. I rooted for them all the way. I did find the chemistry wasn't as hot or believable as Rule and Shaw's.
The glimpses we saw of Nash and Saint have made me extremely excited for their book next.
If you're a New Adult contemporary fan, this is a series that you have to get on.
4/5 stars.

Obsession (Arum #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Format: Kindle Edition
File Size: 571 KB
Print Length: 249 pages
Publisher: Entangled: Covet (31 May 2013)
This is a stand alone novel that is an adult spin-off of the Lux Series You do not need to read a Lux book to read Obsession and vice versa.
He’s arrogant, domineering, and... To. Die. For.
Hunter is a ruthless killer. And the Department of Defense has him firmly in their grasp, which usually doesn’t chafe too badly because he gets to kill bad guys. Most of the time he enjoys his job. That is, until he’s saddled with something he’s never had to do before: protect a human from his mortal enemy.
Serena Cross didn’t believe her best friend when she claimed to have seen the son of a powerful senator turn into something... unnatural. Who would? But then she witnesses her friend’s murder at the hands of what can only be an alien, thrusting her into a world that will kill to protect their secret.
Hunter stirs Serena’s temper and her lust despite their differences. Soon he’s doing the unthinkable—breaking the rules he’s lived by, going against the government to keep Serena safe. But are the aliens and the government the biggest threats to Serena’s life… or is it Hunter?
I have totally fallen in love with Jennifer L. Armentrout's books.
Her Lux series in particular. So when I saw there was an adult spin off series centred around the 'bad guys' of the Lux series, The Arum- I couldn't wait to delve into it.
I loved this! It was fascinating to read from the 'other side' of it.
Hunter was such a fantasitc hero or anti-hero. Dark, arrogant and extremely sexy. He's always so honest about his nature- he's a killer. He has to feed off of energy to survive- either Luxen or humans. And yet- you love him anyway.
Serena was a likeable heroine. She wants justice for her murdered friend, and is unwavering in her fight for it. She makes some incredibly face-palm inducing, stupid decisions- but at the same time, you understand them.
Their chemistry, like with all Jennifer Armentrout'd love interests- was smoking. I thought I was going to combust...several times.
Seeing finally give into and admit his feeling for Serena was hot as hell. Not going to lie- I loved him going all protective and caveman. But Serena was no pushover when it came to him either.
Over all- I freaking loved this book. It was a great spin off and I would love to see more from Serena and Hunter andmore Arum in the future.
5/5 stars.
