Waiting On Wednesday 27/07/2016 'Swear On This Life'

Waiting on Wednesday is all about sharing the books that I'm eagerly waiting to be released.
This week the book that I'm waiting to be released is Swear On This Life by Renée Carlino
Released 11th August.

From bestselling author Renée Carlino, a warm and witty novel about a struggling writer who must come to grips with her past, present, and future after she discovers that she’s the inspiration for a pseudonymously published bestselling novel.
When a bestselling debut novel from mysterious author J. Colby becomes the literary event of the year, Emiline reads it reluctantly. As an adjunct writing instructor at UC San Diego with her own stalled literary career and a bumpy long-term relationship, Emiline isn’t thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of a young and gifted writer.
Yet from the very first page, Emiline is entranced by the story of Emerson and Jackson, two childhood best friends who fall in love and dream of a better life beyond the long dirt road that winds through their impoverished town in rural Ohio.
That’s because the novel is patterned on Emiline’s own dark and desperate childhood, which means that “J. Colby” must be Jase: the best friend and first love she hasn’t seen in over a decade. Far from being flattered that he wrote the novel from her perspective, Emiline is furious that he co-opted her painful past and took some dramatic creative liberties with the ending.
The only way she can put her mind at ease is to find and confront “J. Colby,” but is she prepared to learn the truth behind the fiction?

Saving Grace (Love Under The Big Sky 2.5) by Kristen Proby

Format: Kindle EditionFile Size: 3041 KB
Print Length: 86 pages
Publisher: Pocket Star (30 Nov. 2015)
ASIN: B00X42JLCO

Sparks fly like snowflakes when a klutzy but gorgeous novice crosses skis with a hot resort owner in this tempting tie-in to New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby’s popular Love Under the Big Sky series!

Grace Douglas is on a practice run for her friend Cara Donovan’s bachelorette party ski weekend in Aspen. The problem is, despite living in rugged and picturesque Cunningham Falls, Montana, Grace is the clumsiest person ever born. To prepare for the trip, she is taking lessons at a local ski resort. She just prays that they have an ambulance on standby.

Sexy hotelier Jacob Berkley is ready to play ski instructor, but he quickly discovers that the best place on the mountain for Grace is in the lodge with a hot toddy. Her sense of humor and easy laugh quickly pull him in, and soon he’s determined to help her get off the bunny slope for a fun vacation with her friends. He just didn’t expect their steamy chemistry to trigger an avalanche of desire straight to his heart.

Cover:  I neiter love nor hate this cover.  Cute and sweet but I'm not particularly drawn to it.  I love the original covers for this series.

This is a short and sweet novella.  I kind of wish it was expanded into a full length novelas I feel there was enough potential there, and that Grace and Jacob deserved a filled out story.
But, having said that, I still really enjoyed ther story, and for a novella, it was fantastic.
Grace is a really likeable heroine- sweet and a bit of a klutz, she's dreading the skiing weekend her friends have bought for her.
Until she meets her sexy instructor.  Their chemistry is immediate.  What Grace doesn't know is that Jacob isn't just an instructor- he's the billionaire owner of the resort.
Over all, this was short, sweet sexy read that I would recommend picking up for fans of Kristen Proby's 'Love Under The Big Sky' series.
4/5 stars.

BLOGTOUR Deep Redemption by Tillie Cole (Hades Hangmen #4)

ONLY THROUGH BLOOD CAN THE DEEPEST
22107256REDEMPTION BE FOUND…

He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.

Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin brother.

Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held dear…

But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain understands needs him, as he needs her.

As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his name. He will save the one he loves…

… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.

Contemporary Dark Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language, and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.

Cover:  I love this cover.  I love all the covers of this series, but I feel this cover in particular is absolutely perfect for the story.

This series.  This author.  I love them both.
As soon as I started this series, it became in instant favourite.  I was enthralled from the very start.  It hooks you.  Draws you right in, and doesn't let you go.  You can't put it down, but at the same time don't want it to end.
And Deep Redemption was no different.
This book threw so many surprises at me, and- I didn't see them coming.  It was fabulous! (SO HARD NOT TO SPOIL BUT I SHALL BE SILENT.)  They blew my mind, and just kept me reading and reading and reading.
I was a little worried about this one (although I shouldn't have been because Tillie Cole has yet to let me down), but Cain?  How was I going to connect with a character as the protagonist that in the previous books has essentially been the bad guy?
But that's the beauty of Tillie Cole.
She did it.
Cain betrayed the Hangmen.  And he in turn was betrayed by his faith and his own brother.  During his imprisonment- he meets Harmony.  A fellow prisoner and victim of the cult.
And in my eyes, he was definitely redeemed.
This was an epic book in this series, and a must read.
I cannot wait to see what else is instore for this series.
5/5 epic stars!!!!

Tillie Cole hails from a small town in the North-East of England. She grew up on a farm with her English mother, Scottish father and older sister and a multitude of rescue animals. As soon as she could, Tillie left her rural roots for the bright lights of the big city.
After graduating from Newcastle University with a BA Hons in Religious Studies, Tillie followed her Professional Rugby player husband around the world for a decade, becoming a teacher in between and thoroughly enjoyed teaching High School students Social Studies before putting pen to paper, and finishing her first novel.
Tillie has now settled in Austin, Texas, where she is finally able to sit down and write, throwing herself into fantasy worlds and the fabulous minds of her characters.
Tillie is both an independent and traditionally published author, and writes many genres including: Contemporary Romance, Dark Romance, Young Adult and New Adult novels.
When she is not writing, Tillie enjoys nothing more than curling up on her couch watching movies, drinking far too much coffee, while convincing herself that she really doesn’t need that extra square of chocolate.
