Cover:  I love all the covers to this series.  They’re dark and sexy.  I love that this one has definite significance once you’ve read the book.

This series is hands down one of my favourites, I feel like a rave about it all the time.  But I really do love it.  I eagerly anticipate the release of each book, and Darkness Embraced was no exception.
Tanner and Adelita’s romance is forbidden.  He’s the KKK’s White Prince, heir to a world of hatred and prejudice, and she’s a cartel princess, daughter to Mexican drug King.  They should hate each other- and at the beginning they do.  But they’re soon drawn to each other and see past each other’s exteriors to the souls inside them.
AHHHHH, I love me a good Romeo/Juliet style romance and I just loved this story so much.  I liked that it went back and forth between 2 years ago when Tanner and Adelita first met, and then the present when they’re trying to be together amongst the war going on between the Hades Hangmen, the Klan and the Cartel.
These stories are all pretty dark, dealing with matters that can be pretty hard to read- drugs, guns, human trafficking, cults etc, and yet Tillie Cole manages to make seriously amazing romances out of them.  It continues to blow my mind.
As always I loved seeing the characters from the previous books, and we got some amazing revelations in this book!
I can’t wait for the next one.
5/5 stars.
