Booking Through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Booking Through Thursday and a different question is posted every week.

If you had to choose to live within a novel, which would it be?
Oh this is tough.  I mean I like historical fiction but realistically Regency or Victorian times weren't always as rosie as Pride and Prejudice would have us belief (Yes I LOVE Jane Austen).  Knowing my luck I'd be one of the children in Jane Eyre that died of typhoid.  So...no historicals.
Dystopians...again no.  I would be the first tribute in The Hunger Games to die at the cornucopia.  To be honest, I don't think I'm the brave, tough kinda person you need to be to survive a dystopian novel.
I think when it comes down to it I'd like to live in a contemporary romance novel.  You may have some problems to overcome but in the they're trifle when compared to the horrors of history and struggling to survive, and well...I'm a romantic.  I'd like to find the true love you only find in novels.

  1. I can see your point about historical fiction and dystopian.. quite dangerous.. but what if you could choose to be the heroine? :)

    1. Thanks. I think if I knew for certain that I could be the heroine and therefore not die some horrible, tragic death, then I could probably cope with the historical. I still think a dystopian would be too traumatising for me lol.

  2. I agree with you about the historical fiction and dystopian. I love reading historical fiction but I don't know that I could live in one of those books. And finding true love that is found in novels is something I often dream about.

  7. I'm with ya on no dystopian novels!! Although it'd be nice to live in the Capitol (pre-Hunger Games drama!)...

    Great choices and reasoning!
