Booking Through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Booking Through Thursday and a different question is posted every week.
Do you have any pet that has a name inspired by your readings?
If not, what would you pick if you DID?
Do any of your friends have book-based names for their pets? (Or their children?)
Umm no I don't.  My dog is called Rosie but that was her name when we got her so we didn't get to pick but it suits her and we didn't want to change it.  And our goldfish have names purely because my best friend is a HUGE fan of the movie Step Brothers so she named the fish Brennan and Dale.
As far as I know no one I know has named their pets based on anything they've read, but in the future I probably would, I want a tortoise called 'Augustus' from TFIOS by John Green.

    Augustus sounds like a great name for a tortoise, sort of stately.
    Our cat has two names, both from books.

    I haven't named any pets after book characters either but will definitely consider it in the future. And I like Augustus for a tortoise :) Check out my BTT here

    Hey Erin, I just checked out your immortal review via YouTube. I thought it was a great review though I haven't read it myself yet. I'm fairly new to reading the dystopian books as well, but I do think they are something I will begin reading more of. I think your video reviews are very clever.

    As for the name Augustus, I think you should get a tortoise in the very near future because that is an awesome name. in general, really.

    I don't actually have pets yet, but I've always wanted to name a bunch of fish after famous Shakespeare characters, such as Portia or Sebastian. I also would love to get a husky with two different colored eyes and name him Bowie. I guess that has nothing to do with books though.

      I find dystopian books very much hot or miss, I seem to love them or hate them.

      I was amazed by how many people said I should definitely get a tortoise named Augustus. I think this has to happen.

      I think naming fish after Shakespeare characters is a great idea! Cassius is an awesome name for a fish I think lol.
