Booking Through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Booking Through Thursday and a different question is posted every week.
Do you have siblings? Do they like to read?
I have a younger brother and he can't stand reading.  I know right!!!  I can't believe it either.  He just hates it.  I get my love of reading from my Mum, but he clearly doesn't.  He loves the Lord of the Rings movies and did try to read the first book.  He didn't even finish the prologue.  He just sticks to graphic novels.

  2. I think it's interesting to notice the patterns between siblings....but when you mentioned your mum, who loves to read, I thought: that's where I got it! She's the one who read, who took me to the library, etc.

    1. It's funny because my mum did the same with my brother he just never picked up the reading bug. But my Mum's mum (so my Nan lol) doesn't like to read either, she'll read the daily newspaper but won't ever pick up a book.

  3. I'm not familiar with Graphic Novels, I need to look at some the next time I visit a bookstore. Maybe I'm missing out on something. I think most non-readers will watch the movies based on books, but won't read the book, they are missing out on so much. I always find the books enhance a movie, however, I always find the books so much better than the movies.

    1. It's a shame when some people don't even know when a movie as a book first.

  6. My brother isn't that into reading either but he will do it and occasionally finds a book he really loves. But mostly he prefers video games.
