Waiting On Wednesday 23/04/14 'In The Shadows'

Waiting on Wednesday is all about sharing the books that I'm eagerly waiting to be released.

This week the book I'm waiting on is In The Shadows by Kiersten White and Jim Di Bartolo.
I haven't read anything by Kiersten White but have heard amazing things about her Paranormalcy series, and Jim Di Bartolo illustrated Laini Taylor's book Lips Touch, while I haven't read it yet, I love the illustrations in it, so I'm dying to see more of his artwork.
Released April 29th.

From the remarkable imagination of acclaimed artist Jim Di Bartolo and the exquisite pen of bestselling author Kiersten White comes a spellbinding story of love, mystery, and dark conspiracy, told in an alternating narrative of words and pictures.

Cora and Minnie are sisters living in a small, stifling town where strange and mysterious things occur. Their mother runs the local boarding house. Their father is gone. The woman up the hill may or may not be a witch.

Thomas and Charles are brothers who’ve been exiled to the boarding house so Thomas can tame his ways and Charles can fight an illness that is killing him with increasing speed. Their family history is one of sorrow and guilt. They think they can escape from it . . . but they can’t.

  1. When I Jim Di Bartolo's name, I was sold! Now I have to go and look this up and mark it on my calender! His art is phenomenal, absolutely beautiful! I've only seen his work in his wife's (one of my favorite author's) book, Lip Touch, and I was blown away. I'd love to see more! Thank you for sharing this title, I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for it's release! :)
